A Small Vineyard With a Story Worth Tasting
Yaakov Zimmerman had one dream: to live in Israel and serve in the IDF. In 2017, that dream came true when he drafted as a combat soldier in the Kfir Brigade, spending two years guarding the hills around Beit El and Shiloh. By the time his service ended, he knew this land was home, and he stayed.
In 2019, he started making wine: 500 bottles his first year. Today, Zimmerman Estates makes 3,000, grown in the same hills where the tabernacle once stood.
Since the war began, he has spent over 800 days as a combat reservist on the front lines in Gaza and Lebanon, coming home when he can to his wife Tehila and their son, Akiva Ori.
